LONGPARISH NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH SCHEME

Police Support:

Longparish is policed by the Harewood Safer Neighbourhood team; details may be found on the Hampshire Constabulary websites at www.hampshire.police.uk/internet and www.hampshire.police.uk/internet/advice-and-information/crime-prevention/neighbourhood-watch.

In an emergency ring 999:

What is an emergency? An emergency is a situation where:

  • life is at risk and immediate assistance is required - you see someone being attacked;

  • you see a house being broken into;

  • you get home to find intruders in your house;

  • there is a traffic accident causing injury or danger.

In these types of situation dial 999.

Less urgent problems - dial 101:

If you require police assistance, but it is not an emergency, or you wish to inform them of something, there is now a single number. You will be put through to the appropriate department

The Neighbourhood Watch Scheme:

The Longparish Neighbourhood Watch Scheme is registered with the Hampshire Constabulary from whom it receives regular local incident/crime updates and advice on security; and details may be found under 'Law and Order' in the 'Useful Information' Section of the Village website.

Coordinators:

The essential role of the coordinators is the prompt downward passage of incident information from the Police and Lead Coordinator to those residents who ask them for it; and to encourage local security awareness and vigilance.
