NOTES AND SUPPORTING STATEMENTS

  1. Allotment Rents received. This figure represents two years’ fees.
  2. Cemetery Fees. Decreased usage in comparison with 2016/17.
  3. VAT Refund. Refund of VAT for 2017/18 now included.
  4. Hire of football pitch. The football pitch started to be used in 2018/19
  5. Clerk’s Pay & Expenses. The increased cost is due to overtime undertaken by the Clerk.
  6. Open Spaces. 2017/18 represents normal expenditure.  2018/19 figure includes refurbishment of the cemetery £7675.
  7. Communications. Fees relating to new hosting and registration of the website in 2018/19.
  8. Village Hall. £6,128 earmarked as Council’s final contribution to Village Hall Refurbishment Project returned to Village Hall Committee in 2017/18.  No expenditure in 2018/19.
  9. Longparish Community Association. Grant approved in 2018/19.
  10. VAT Paid. Payment of VAT for 2018/19 now included.
  11. Miscellaneous. Grants awarded to local groups in 2018/19
  12. Net operating income. 2017/18 figure higher due to the delayed receipt of grant monies from previous year.  2018/19 figure as expected, to bring down the Reserve held.
  13. Loan Balance. Previous year’s loan balance added back to avoid double-counting.
  14. Playground Equipment Fund. £500 earmarked annually for major repair or replacement of playground equipment.  Additional fund in 2017/18 came from an ex-gratia payment of £1693 from Hill & Valley magazine.
  15. Loan. Balance of PWLB loan at end of financial year.
  16. Basis of Accounts and Rounding. Figures are inclusive of VAT, which the Council is able to reclaim, and all figures in the accounts are shown to the nearest £1.
