NOTES AND SUPPORTING STATEMENTS

1.         Cemetery Fees.  Increased usage in comparison with 2015/16.

2.         VAT Refund.  Refund of VAT for 2015/16 now included.

3.         General Administration.  Increased costs in 2016/17.

4.         Clerk’s Pay & Expenses. Back-dated holiday pay included.

5.         Open Spaces.  Playground refurbishment £5908.  £2346 from Playground reserve.  £3562 S106 funding owed by TVBC.

6.         Elections.  No election in 2016/17.

7.         Village Hall.  Funds are reserved for the continuing refurbishment.  Expenditure in 2016/17 was for a new lease for land to the rear of the Village Hall.

8.         Longparish Community Association.  KidZone youth club re-established, therefore increased costs, but within allocated budget.

9.         VAT Paid.  Payment of VAT for 2016/17 now included.

10.        Net operating income.  Higher costs due to Playground refurbishment, and S106 funding still owed.

11.        Loan Balance.  Previous year’s loan balance added back to avoid double-counting.

12.        Playground Equipment Fund.  £500 earmarked annually for major repair or replacement of playground equipment.

13.        Loan.  Balance of PWLB loan at end of financial year.

14.        Debtors.  S106 funding of £3562 expected, towards cost of refurbishment of Playground.

15.        General Fund Balance.  General Fund includes £6,128 earmarked as Council’s final contribution to Village Hall Refurbishment Project.

16.        Basis of Accounts and Rounding.  Figures are inclusive of VAT, which the Council is able to reclaim, and all figures in the accounts are shown to the nearest £1.
