Longparish Choir is an anagram of "Oh! RIP gin chorals!"

Longparish Village Choir welcomes all singers.

We are a non-auditioning, true ‘community choir’ of about 25 local people who sing for fun.

The only entry requirements are enthusiasm and a willingness to attend rehearsals. You do not need any previous experience or be able to read music. We are especially keen, at the moment, to recruit tenors.

We enjoy singing a wide range of accessible songs from Motown to Mozart. We are not an official Church choir but we do support all the major Church festivals as well as staging fun concerts, usually in aid of charities. We also occasionally sing for christenings, weddings and funerals and it is always a great privilege to be part of such important family events.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7.30-9.30.

There is no subscription fee, just some modest music costs and a small charge for ‘refreshments’ if you want them.
(Most of the choir seem to be ‘refreshed’ by a glass or two of wine but this is not compulsory!)
